LEGO Star Wars Review

The gameplay might be simple, but LEGO Star Wars is a whole lot of fun...

Lego Star Wars: The Video Game is a 3D platform video game based on the Lego group Star Wars toys. This adventure style game takes place during the Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith timeline.

Although LEGO Star Wars is a relatively simple game to play it has terrific game play, looks and sounds great and is very addictive. The original game was released in August 2005 and the sequel, LEGO Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy followed in September 2005. A compilation version, The Complete Saga came in November 2007.

The most endearing feature of LEGO Star Wars is the characters are modeled on actual Lego parts and when they die they fall apart much like an actual LEGO assembly. There are many characters in the game, which can be unlocked at the end of a level or by buying them at Dexter's Diner.

For a complete review I deferred to my team of resident experts...my kids! Here is their assessment...

No re-starting level once you die

As you can see the good points outnumber the bad by a large margin, so LEGO Star Wars gets the thumbs up.
